Dynamic Dances by Allen Vizzutti

Not a method book, but a super fun supplement. This book of dance tunes for solo flutes will keep you entertained as you play through. With mixed meters, fun syncopations, and many accidentals you will be kept on your toes! The pieces are not necessarily in progressive order, but they definitely get harder as you go on. Some of the highlights include mixed meter, multiple key changes per piece, and a dance for pretty much every occasion. There aren’t many ornaments and road maps are pretty basic, but where those lack, they are made up for in meter – 7/4 and 5/8 just to name a few. Let’s get dancing!
